Since the question came up after Elise's presentation and I was curious, I thought I would find out what was unique to the different pen types. The basic difference comes down to the ink. This link is to a Wikipedia article. I reviewed a number of sites, but this one had more complete information about the differences of rollerball and the advantages versus disadvantages.
